Garner Food Company announced a recall of its Texas Pete Habanero Buffalo Sauce because the bottles may contain Sriracha Sauce. Per the FDA, the Sriracha Sauce contains sulfites, which are not declared on the label. Those with an allergy or sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of experiencing a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the recalled product. The company is also recalling its Texas Pete Sweet CHAbanero Sauce due to mislabeling. The product was made with aged peppers, but the bottles do not contain the labeled ingredient "Aged Peppers (Red Habanero Peppers, Salt, Vinegar)." This recall affects select lots and sizes.
