If you recently bought ice cream, check your freezer as soon as possible. Blue Bell Ice Cream is recalling a limited batch of its Moo-llennium Crunch ice cream due to a packaging error that led to undeclared nut allergens, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recalled Moo-llennium Crunch, which contains roasted pecans, chopped almonds, and walnut pieces, was incorrectly packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream cartons. It was distributed to retail stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

The affected product information is listed below:

A Blue Bell employee found the wrong packaging while restocking at a retail store. So far, no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported, and no other incorrect packaging has been found or reported.

According to the FDA, people with allergies or severe sensitivity to almonds, walnuts, and pecans could have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat this ice cream. Common signs of a tree nut allergy include stomach pain, cramps, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, trouble swallowing, itching of the mouth, throat, eyes, skin, or other areas, nasal congestion or a runny nose, and shortness of breath, according to the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

If you bought the recalled ice cream, you can return it to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. For questions, call 979-836-7977, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. CST or email consumerrelations@bluebell.com.
