The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just issued a recall of Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad With Salmon because the topping packet may contain an undeclared milk allergen. According to the recall, 500 units of the salad were mistakenly packaged with a sealed packet of parmesan cheese crumbles instead of the usual crispy onions. People with a sensitivity or allergy to milk may experience an adverse reaction if they consume the topping. Bread Urgently Recalled in US Due to Glass Fragments—Here's What to Know The pre-packaged salads were produced by Taylor Fresh Foods of Illinois and distributed to stores in the following states: Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. They have use-by dates of April 28, 2025 and April 29, 2025 and the UPC 00773164. Milk allergies can cause symptoms ranging from hives, itching, or digestive discomfort to anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially fatal reaction requiring immediate medical attention.
