Cherry Red

Red had its moment in 2024 thanks to trends like the "unexpected red theory," a term that describes the phenomenon that a pop of red improves the look of any space. According to Pinterest, red—specifically cherry red—will continue to be popular in 2025. If it's too bold for you to use as a wall color, consider incorporating it in your home in the form of throw blankets, furniture, vases, and other small touches.

Butter Yellow

This specific shade of yellow is playful and subdued compared to other more saturated hues, making it the perfect subtle pop of color in any space. Butter yellow will add instant warmth to your home, whether you choose a butter-yellow backsplash for your kitchen or a butter-yellow area rug for your living room. 

Aura Indigo

If you're a fan of purple, you'll love having pops of aura indigo, a saturated lavender shade, throughout your home. "It's perfect for cosmic-inspired looks and otherworldly design," says Pinterest, adding that searches for 'purple core' and 'purple lavender aesthetic' are up 120 and 175 percent, respectively.

Dill Green

Dill green is "pickled perfection in a color," the platform says. The tangy green hue is the perfect way to bring your kitchen back to life or incorporate a unique yet sophisticated color in your living room. On Pinterest, searches for 'green vibe' (up 80 percent) and 'green kitchen designs' (up 155 percent) have increased. 

Alpine Oat

Pinterest users are interested in making their spaces feel more calming and inviting in 2025. One way they're doing so is through neutral hues like alpine oat, a milky beige color. Searchers for 'beige aesthetic room' and 'beige tiles bathroom' are up 35 percent and 120 percent compared to last year.
