According to the report, this season is all about balancing minimalism and maximalism, where "statement pieces meet everyday ease, and personal style feels more natural than ever," the report says. Whether you want your space to feel like a château in the French countryside or a seaside, maritime-inspired retreat, these trends will help you create a beautiful space for spring and summer. 

Island Luxe

Who doesn't want their home to feel like a luxe resort? This trend, which is also referred to as resortcore or tourist-chic, centers around making intentional design choices that align with the island lifestyle. Whether you trade your backyard Adirondack chairs for raffia loungers or incorporate linens into your space or wardrobe, this trend will inspire a more laidback spring and summer.  

Galactic Metallic

This season's trends aren't only about sunshine and florals—Etsy predicts moodier trends will also have play throughout spring and summer. Expect to see spaces filled with metallic details and out-of-this-world décor, like holographic textures and pieces made from reflective fabrics.

Châteaucore

If you've ever dreamed of spending summers in the South of France, this trend is perfect for you. Châteaucore is as dreamy as it sounds, featuring airy cotton details, embroidered textiles, and vintage glassware. Primed to be one of the biggest trends of the year, Etsy notes that the term "French cottage décor" is one of the most-searched terms on the platform in 2025 so far.

Maritime Living

Inspired by the lifestyles of fishermen and seafarers, this trend is where rugged and elevated coastal styles converge. Wallpapers printed with sardine motifs, seashells used as jewelry holders or soap trays, and décor made from sea glass are hallmarks of the maritime living aesthetic. 

Literary Aesthetic

For the person that always has their head in a book! The literary aesthetic is exactly what it sounds like—books piled high on built-in shelves, historic tomes used as bookends, accent books thoughtfully arranged on a coffee table. This trend encourages bibliophiles to bring their love of reading into their home design for a smart, elevated space.

Messy Coquette

Coquette has been a trend for a while now, but expect to see it morph slightly this spring and summer. "This season, the aesthetic is flirtier, campier, and way more fun," the report states. According to Etsy, ruffles will be a defining aspect of this trend, as sales for ruffled curtains, throw blankets, and pillows surge.
