- Consumers should immediately secure the bottles out of children’s reach and contact Mindbodygreen to receive a free child-resistant replacement cap. Once secured with the new cap, the supplements can continue to be used as directed.
If you have young kids in your home, check your supplement supply. Mindbodygreen of Miami, Florida, is recalling its Ultimate Multivitamin+ Dietary Supplements because the bottles are not child resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the supplements are swallowed by young children, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The dietary supplements contain iron, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, per the recall notice.
The pills come in 8-ounce amber glass bottles with black caps, each containing 60 capsules. A full list of the UPC, lot numbers, and manufacturing dates (month/year format) can be found in the CPSC notice here. The UPC, lot numbers, and manufacturing dates are printed on the bottle.
