Nationwide Frozen Spinach Recall Issued Over Listeria Risk—Here’s What to Know Check your freezer. Do not eat the products; discard or return for a refund. If you recently purchased frozen spinach or ordered Hello Fresh meals, check your fridge and freezer. Sno Pac Foods of Caledonia, Minnesota, is recalling some of its frozen spinach products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The recalled items—Del Mar Organic Frozen Spinach in bulk and 10-ounce packages of Sno Pac Organic Frozen Cut Spinach—were distributed nationwide to retail stores and food distributors. The 35-pound bulk boxes have lot codes 250107A, 250107B, 250107C, 250107D, 2501071, and 2501073 with an expiration date of January 7, 2027. The recalled 10-ounce packages are marked with the following lot codes and best-by dates: Lot code SPM1.190.5 with a best-by date of July 9, 2027Lot code SPC1.160.5 with a best-by date of June 9, 2027Lot code SPC2.160.5 with a best-by date of June 9, 2027Lot code SPM1.097.5 with a best-by date of April 7, 2027 In connection with this recall, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for ready-to-eat meals that contain the recalled Sno Pac Foods spinach and were produced by FreshRealm, which supplies meal-prep services such as Hello Fresh. The affected products include: 10.1-ounce containers of "HELLO FRESH READY-MADE MEALS CHEESY PULLED PORK PEPPER PASTA" with establishment number "Est. 47718" and lot code 49107 or establishment number "Est. 2937" and lot code 48840. This item was shipped directly to consumers by HelloFresh.10-ounce containers of "HELLO FRESH READY-MADE MEALS UNSTUFFED PEPPERS WITH GROUND TURKEY" with establishment number "P-47718" and lot codes 50069, 50073, or 50698. This item was shipped directly to consumers by HelloFresh. According to Sno Pac Foods, a bulk case of spinach, which had been used to pack the 10-ounce packages, tested positive for Listeria, triggering the recall. The production of the product has been suspended while the company investigates. So far, no illnesses have been reported in connection with either recall. Symptoms of Listeria infection vary depending on severity, but may include vomiting, muscle aches, fever, headaches, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions. Symptoms can last from one to three days. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately. If you purchased the packaged spinach or the bulk product, the FDA urges you to dispose of or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
