Trader Joe's Just Made a Big Announcement—Here's What It Means for Shoppers

The grocer is opening 10 stores in 8 states.

If you've been hoping for a Trader Joe's to open up in your neighborhood, you may be in luck. The popular grocery chain is expanding yet again, recently announcing the addition of 10 new stores set to open across the U.S. in the near future.

The new stores are planned for California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Utah, and Washington. The company has already opened store locations in Connecticut, Louisiana, and New York since the start of 2026.

The following locations are on the grocer's "coming soon" list, but there are no confirmed opening dates for any of them yet:

  • 34 Walkers Brook Drive, Reading, Massachusetts
  • 1444 North Alafaya Trail, Orlando, Florida
  • 2457 Golden Hill Rd., Paso Robles, California
  • 6336 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd., Anaheim, California
  • 1710 Camellia Blvd., Lafayette, Louisiana
  • 471 Mt Pleasant Ave., West Orange, New Jersey
  • 13414 E Sprague Ave., Spokane Valley, Washington
  • 401 NE Northgate Way, Seattle, Washington
  • 4850 W 13400 South, Herriman, Utah
  • 1930 US-34, Oswego, Illinois

Trader Joe's currently operates across 42 states; Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming are the only states without locations.
