These Were Trader Joe’s Most Popular Products of 2025

Trader Joe’s is known for its loyal customer base and its viral products that shoppers flock to stores to buy. But which items top everyone's grocery list? The Trader Joe’s 17th Annual Customer Choice Awards are here to answer that question.

The annual competition is divided into 11 categories, with five customer-selected products awarded in each. From best beverage to top snack, the categories highlight the best of the best, including limited-time and seasonal items. The grocer has conducted shopper polls every year since 2009 to determine its award winners.

There are several returning winners from last year’s list, in addition to some new products making their debut. From frozen favorites to tried-and-true staples, here are the products that Trader Joe's shoppers deemed the best of the year.

Best Overall Product: Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings

After reaching number two last year, these crowd-favorite dumplings have risen to the top spot. The runner-ups in this category are Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese, Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings, Sourdough Bread, and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice.

Best New Product: Protein Pancakes

Anything packed with protein is popular right now, especially these fluffy flapjacks, which offer a whopping 20 grams of the macronutrient per four-pack. Other new products that customers fell in love with include Sour Strawberry Candy Belts, Garlic Butter Irish Potato Chips, Hot Honey Popcorn, and Ketchup Flavored Lattice Potato Chips.

Best Cheese: Goat Cheese

Among the store's impressive cheese selection, this semi-soft chevre won the hearts of shoppers. Other favorites include Syrah Soaked Toscano Cheese Spread & Dip, Saint André Triple Crème Brie, and English Cheddar with Caramelized Onions. Even Trader Joe's reusable cheese-themed bag made the list.

Best Produce: Teeny Tiny Avocados

Once again, these itty-bitty finds have taken over the top produce spot. After having won more than five times, they're now headed to the Hall of Fame, but there will still be plenty in stock at stores. The runner-ups in this category include Gone Bananas!, Blueberries, Honeycrisp Apples, and Organic Persian Cucumbers.

Best Appetizer: Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip

This rich, creamy mix of spinach and artichoke, Swiss and Parmesan cheeses, and savory herbs and spices is a frozen aisle favorite. Other top party picks include Jalapeńo & Cream Cheese Crispy Wontons, Vegetable Bird's Nests with Soy Dipping Sauce, Parmesan Pastry Pups, and Greek Spanikopita.

Best Beverage: Spiced Cider

A perennial award winner, this seasonal, limited-time beverage has topped the category more than five times and is headed to the Trader Joe's Hall of Fame. In 2023, the grocery chain inducted its first class of Hall of Fame honorees, each a five-time winner (or more) of their respective categories. To give other products a chance to shine, these all-star products are taken out of contention for the annual awards and placed in the Hall of Fame. The runner-ups in the beverage category this year are Apple Juice, Triple Ginger Brew, Sparkling Lemonade, and 100% Tangerine Juice.

This dessert's combination of vanilla ice cream, chewy cookies, and lots of chocolate chips has earned it a blue ribbon. But it's not the only ice cream product that shoppers buy.
