Check your pantry. Sugar Foods LLC is recalling certain lots of Kroger Homestyle Cheese and Garlic Croutons due to potential salmonella contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
This is part of an ongoing recall linked to powdered milk supplied by California Dairies, Inc., which was used in the production of the croutons.
The milk powder was supplied by California Dairies to Sugar Foods' seasoning supplier, Solina USA, and incorporated into the seasoning blend applied to the croutons. The affected seasoning batches tested negative for salmonella before use, and the recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution.

Healthy persons often experience symptoms such as fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infections can result in more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
