Bakkavor of Charlotte, North Carolina, is recalling some of its pizza and bread items due to contamination from metal fragments, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The company determined that the cause of the metal fragments was roasted tomatoes provided by one of its ingredient suppliers. The products were sold through HelloFresh and various retailers, including Meijer, Trader Joe's, and Harris Teeter in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, and Virginia.
