In recent years, grocery store chains like Trader Joe's and Aldi have been giving wine shops and liquor stores a run for their money as many shoppers' go-to source for libations.
So it's not totally surprising that an Aldi Exclusive topped the wine category of Product of the Year USA's 2026 Product of the Year Awards.
Spanning 40 categories from food and beverage, household products, personal care, pet care, and more, the winning products were selected based on the opinions of 40,000 shoppers through an independent national study. And a few Aldi Exclusive items were deemed the best of the best, including Simply Nature Granola Bites, Elevation Ultra-Filtered Milkshakes, and Elliot Cooper Chardonnay.

The white wine, which costs around $10, is described as having a "smooth finish and elegant aroma" and can be paired with seafood, poultry, or dishes with creamy sauces. The Chardonnay is produced in California by Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits (while Aldi owns the Elliot Cooper label) and features notes of apple, honey, stone fruit, and lemon.
If you're looking for a tasty, affordable option for an upcoming dinner party, grab a bottle of Elliot Cooper Chardonnay during your next trip to the local Aldi store.
