Is Aldi Open on Memorial Day? Here’s What to Know Before You Shop

If you need to grab some last-minute party essentials or make a pit stop before heading to a cookout this Memorial Day, you're in luck.

Aldi will be open on May 25, but store locations will have limited hours. According to an Aldi spokesperson, stores will close at 6 p.m. Shoppers are advised to find their local store online using the store locator to confirm the exact operating hours.

On the other hand, Costco is planning to close all of its 643 warehouse locations across the U.S. on Memorial Day, while other stores like Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, and Lowe's will remain open during regular hours.

If you're looking to stock up on supplies in advance, Aldi offers a wide range of items—from foods fit for the grill to outdoor entertaining must-haves like a chic bug repellent fan—to help you celebrate during the holiday weekend.

In addition to its plans to open more than 180 new locations across 31 states in 2026, Aldi is also testing out a new store format this year that allows the grocery store chain to more easily fit into more real estate locations and configurations.
