Employees of a New Hampshire doggy daycare were brought to tears after seeing Finn, a Bernese Mountain Dog, paying his respects to his canine friends who crossed the rainbow bridge.

There's a wall in the doggy daycare featuring a painting of a rainbow with photos hung up on it, symbolizing the dogs in their care who have since passed away. In the video, Finn is lying in front of the wall with his head held high, letting out an occasional bark.

On February 12, Andi, an employee of the daycare, shared the heartbreaking moment on her TikTok account @shutupndance24. The video has received over 85,000 views and hundreds of comments. "Finn loves to stare at the Rainbow Bridge, often randomly barking," the caption read.

Viewers empathized with the sweet canine, with many commenting that they were "sobbing" as they watched the video. Someone wrote that Finn was "hoping his friends can hear him from somewhere over the rainbow." Another commented that dogs "are so much more intelligent than we give them credit for."

In another video, Andi shared that Finn knew about 14 dogs featured on the rainbow bridge wall. Many people in the comment section said they believe that dogs grieve and remember those who have passed, just as humans do.

According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), dogs do experience grief in some form. "It's likely that they feel all of the emotions that go along with grief when they lose both human and canine companions during their lives," the AKC explains. After a dog dies, other dogs in the household or environments like doggy daycare may show signs of social withdrawal, search for the lost companion, become clingy to their owner, or even refrain from eating or drinking.
