The smell of freshly cut grass on a sunny day isn't only enticing to humans; it's a dog's dream playground. Bear, a playful English Cream Golden Retriever, went viral on Instagram last year for discovering freshly cut grass and seizing the opportunity to roll around in it and get messy.

In the video, Bear starts rolling excitedly in the grass, his face alight with pure joy, and his tongue sticking out. As he continues to roll, his creamy white fur begins to turn bright green, completely transforming his appearance. At the end of the video, pictures of Bear show just how green he looks in the sunshine after playing in the grass.

The video was posted on Bear's owner's Instagram account @machkluesner last August and has gained more than 180 million views and over 10 million likes. Bear's owner captioned the video "Send help, my white dog found freshly cut grass," with the playful "So this is love?" soundtrack playing in the background.

Many viewers commented on the video, comparing Bear's new green look to iconic movie characters like the Grinch. "Grinchy doggo!" one person wrote.

Others compared Bear to chlorophyll and the process of photosynthesis that plants undergo during their growth. "His name is Phil, Chlora Phil," one person wrote. Another added: "The next step is to start photosynthesis."

The internet truly can't get enough of Bear and his new green look, calling him the "Green Retriever" instead of "Golden," and we are loving it.
