This spring, for the first time, Michaels has introduced fresh florals in more than 400 select U.S. stores across 40 states, marking a major expansion in its floral category.
Shoppers can now grab ready-to-go fresh bouquets while browsing coordinating vases, vessels, ribbon, and seasonal décor. The floral assortment will change throughout the season, but customers can expect a mix of popular blooms like roses, carnations, greenery bunches, and mixed bouquets. The available flowers will also depend on the store.
"We’re always looking to make Michaels an even more inspiring destination for celebrating life’s moments, and fresh florals are the most natural evolution of that mission. Our customers already turn to us for the foundations of a beautiful home—from seasonal décor and textiles to creative essentials—so offering fresh blooms allows them to complete their entire vision in one journey," Stacey Shively, chief merchandising officer at Michaels, said about the decision to add real flowers to stores.
The prices of the arrangements start at $7.99 and go up to about $19.99. "Our goal is to offer a curated selection that empowers shoppers to style everything from a simple, thoughtful bedside arrangement to a lush, multi-layered centerpiece for a spring gathering," Shively added.

It makes sense for the retailer to add fresh blooms to their offerings since shoppers are already able to buy everything they need for an arrangement in stores, including vases, stem cutters, and floral craft foam. You can even grab flower preserving supplies such as a flower press and silica gel, if you want to cherish the blooms long after they're gone.
In addition to fresh florals, Michaels is also elevating its faux spring assortment nationwide with "Real Touch" florals. The new stems feature lifelike texture, natural color variation, and flexible design to help you create arrangements that look and feel just like the real thing—minus the maintenance. You can find faux flowers such as hydrangeas, peonies, tulips, and orchids in stores and online.
The retailer is also launching UV-resistant greenery just in time for warmer weather. Perfect for porches and patios, the greenery, which includes faux boxwoods, topiaries, ferns, and grasses, is built to withstand outdoor elements without fading from the sun.
Over the past year, Michaels has continued to expand by adding brands from Joann Fabrics to its in-store The Knit & Sew Shop and by stocking more celebration supplies, including balloons in The Party Shop at Michaels.
