Close Credit: Marla Aufmuth / Getty Images; Courtesy of The Martha Blog It's no secret that Martha is an animal lover, caring for horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and more on her 152-acre farm in upstate New York. This year, she welcomed four Persian cats —Magnolia, Dahlia, Lilium, and Chrysanthemum—into her Bedford home, Cantitoe Corners. In a recent blog post, she shared details and photos of her new furry family members, including the shaded silver Persian named Magnolia; Dahlia, the dilute calico with soft, muted tri-color patches; her brown Persian longhair Lilium; and the newest feline to join the crew, chocolate Persian Chrysanthemum. Three of the cats were adopted through Rock n' Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Bedford Hills, New York, not far from her farm. Dahlia is the youngest of Martha's four Persian cats. The four Persians reside in her winter house, while her two young barn cats stay in the stable, and her only male cat lives in the greenhouse. She's about three years old and "so curious," Martha says, "roaming from room to room, upstairs and downstairs, keeping an eye on everything that goes on." The youngest of the group, one-year-old Dahlia, loves company and attention, and follows everyone around the house, Martha shares. Lilium is from Doha, the capital city of Qatar, and has beautiful facial markings. "She’s playful, confident, and very friendly." She's about three years old and has beautiful facial expressions and markings. Chrysanthemum is the newest addition to the pack. Adopted on Halloween, she has just started to explore Martha's home. So far, she loves company just like Dahlia and will rub up against anyone who stops to greet her. Explore more: News Celebrity News
