The male and female pheasants are easy to differentiate due to their size and coloring. "Males have a lot of white set off by light, shiny golden breast and body and a full peachy ruff," Martha writes. "The females are smaller and lighter than the males, and have shorter tails." Last year, Martha brought home this pair of red and yellow male golden pheasants. She writes that they "get along very well" on her farm.
