A KitchenAid stand mixer is perhaps the most sought-after appliance for home cooks. Thanks to its wide variety of attachments, it can handle everything from kneading dough to mashing potatoes to churning ice cream.

Plus, the iconic item comes in many colors—from pastel pistachio to vivid beetroot—with one more stunning hue just announced—Spearmint.

The appliance brand's 2026 Color of the Year is a light minty-green hue with a tactile, sandy finish that "provides a calming, yet revitalizing energy," KitchenAid says. Experts at Whirlpool (the owner of KitchenAid) spend years analyzing interior design, social, cultural, and aesthetic trends to choose the Color of the Year.

Spearmint follows in the pastel footsteps of KitchenAid's 2025 color: Butter. Like its predecessor, mint green was also a popular color of the 1950s and was frequently used in kitchens and bathrooms and on appliances and cars. It was often paired with black, white, or pale pink.

The brand's other green shades feature satin or glossy finishes, while Spearmint features a more textured finish.

If you're in the market for a mixer, you can buy the Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in the new shade starting today for $549.99.

Additionally, KitchenAid is running a Color of the Year sweepstakes from now through February 26. Five winners will receive a Spearmint stand mixer, plus a matching, limited-edition 36-inch Dual Fuel Commercial-Style Range. This is the first time the brand has extended its Color of the Year program into the major appliance category, with the range available exclusively through the sweepstakes.
