The mystical "cat distribution system" appears to be at work again, as one woman recently found a family of cats living inside her garage.

A TikTok user named Victoria (@victoriahelloisme) posted a video on the social media platform showing several stray cats curled inside a plastic tub inside her garage. In the minute-long clip, which has generated over 5.3 million views and 780,000 likes, a calico mother cat and three orange kittens snuggle inside a blanket together.

"I know you're scared, it's OK. Nobody is going to bother you, baby," the woman says to the furry family, with text across the screen that says: "Look what I found in my garage today, don't know where they all came from, well they are safe here."

The video caption reads: "Kitty distribution hit me," referring to the viral idea that when you’re ready, the universe will present you with a cat. People who find stray cats often reference the concept in their TikTok videos.

"She and her babies will be happy here. I have a big garage and plenty of food put out and water and also live on 7 acres of country land," Victoria posted in the comment section of the video.

Since her discovery in April, Victoria, an avid animal rescuer with over 22,000 followers on TikTok, has posted almost daily updates of the newfound cats, offering viewers a glimpse of their progress.

Though the mama cat—who Victoria named Cleopatra because "she is the boss"—remained scared and hesitant for a while, the family eventually moved into a new clean container with fresh bedding. In one video, Victoria shared in the caption that she's planning to turn her garage into a "kitty play land" with a playpen, air conditioning, and plenty of toys and tunnels.

She said she plans to keep the mama and kittens, who she has since named Jasper, Raptor, and Houdini.

In the comment section of a recent video, one person wrote about the mama cat. "It’s so lovely to watch her grow from a scared stray who sought shelter to become a mum to a pampered kitty enjoying kitty things. No longer surviving and officially thriving," they wrote.
