Close Martha's very own hybrid tea rose will be showcased this summer at the renowned New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) in Bronx, New York. The Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden, one of the most popular destinations at the NYBG, recently planted 13 of Martha's rose bushes, and they'll be blooming soon. From May through October, more than 4,000 rose plants bloom at the NYBG. The collection is diverse, featuring 37 species and around 650 varieties. Martha's rose stands out with its large pink blooms, dark green foliage, and delicately sweet fragrance. According to Martha's recent blog, her rose was bred by Meilland, a six-generation family-owned rose-growing business that introduced its roses to North America through Star Roses and Plants. Individual rose plants of many varieties and species fill one acre of space. A beautiful gazebo stands at the center of the garden, with manicured beds surrounding it. Martha's roses will reach peak bloom in June, boasting more than 100 pink and apricot-colored petals.
