Home décor trends are constantly evolving. To give homeowners insight into the biggest trends of 2024 and inspire design choices in 2025, 1stDibs released its Luxury E-Commerce Report. The data highlights the top trends in furniture and lighting over the previous year. Overall, the report reveals a desire among homeowners for unique pieces that add character to home interiors. Ahead, we're taking a closer look at the lighting and furniture trends featured in the report.

Art Deco

The luxurious and glamorous style of the Art Deco period continues to inspire design choices, offering a reprieve from the embrace of minimalism. According to 1stDibs, Art Decor rose 10 positions year-over-year in chair searches and ranked 13th overall in furniture searches on the website.

Murano Chandeliers

Murano chandeliers add rich character to any room and are on track to become one of the most popular vintage lighting choices, according to 1stDibs. Murano is glassware made in Venice, Italy, typically on the island of Murano. According to the report, Murano chandeliers rose 12 positions year-over-year in furniture searches.

Togo Seating

The Togo seating collection by Michael Ducaroy is experiencing a resurgence in popularity, which 1stDibs attributes to its versatile modularity. Celebrities like Lenny Kravitz, who has four cream Togo seats in his home in Paris, have also gravitated towards this type of seating. Togo has increased 62 positions in chair searches year-over-year.

Eames Lounge Chairs

Eames lounge chairs are becoming a luxury item homeowners want to invest in. According to 1stDibs, this chair style—originally released in 1956—rose six positions year-over-year in overall furniture searches on the site.

Gio Ponti

Italian architect Gio Ponti, known as "the father of modern design," is beloved for his singular aesthetic that blends seamlessly with more modern trends. His style offers a sophisticated and sleek touch for spaces throughout the home. According to 1stDibs, his name rose eight positions in furniture searches year-over-year.

George Nakashima

Known for his refined craftsmanship, George Nakashima takes imperfect pieces of wood found in nature and turns them into stunning furnishings, including chairs, tables, and cabinetry. His name rose one position in overall furniture searches and 11 in chair searches year-over-year on 1stDibs.

Mid-Century Modern

The mid-century modern style is more popular than ever. Although the trend has expanded from the retro-themed designs it was notorious for, it's become a design staple in home offices, living rooms, and bedrooms. The term has increased in searches in the furniture, lighting, and chair categories.

Art Nouveau

Complete with flowing lines and botanical motifs, Art Nouveau is the perfect trend for those seeking unique designs for their home. "The highly decorative Art Nouveau style is well suited to the tastes of today’s maximalists and organic modernists," the report says. This style rose four positions as a furniture search term in 2024.
