According to Airbnb, spring break is going analog, with groups skipping bustling cities and party towns for the great outdoors. National park gateways and off-the-beaten-path desert towns are experiencing major momentum, the rental platform reports, with nature and outdoor experiences being among the top-booked categories.
Right now, popular group destinations include neighboring desert communities Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley, Calif.; Oakhurst, Calif. (which is a convenient access point for exploring Yosemite National Park); Page, Arizona; Estes Park, Colorado (a launching pad for adventures in Rocky Mountain National Park); and Moab, Utah.

While Florida remains a top pick for spring break getaways for families, many are drifting away from the Sunshine State’s most popular destinations and toward quieter towns that still offer great weather and more ways to spend quality time together.
These towns, while growing in popularity, continue to offer families more space and a peaceful place to go offline and reconnect through fun activities such as surfing, bird-watching, shark tooth hunting, shell collecting, and more.
Family-friendly Florida beach towns to consider are Fort Walton Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Treasure Island, Bradenton, and Venice, which is known as the "shark tooth capital of the world."
