From the craze over Ikea's oversized tote to Trader Joe's viral colorful mini totes, Aldi is joining the trend by offering reusable shopping bags designed to handle your biggest grocery haul yet. On Sept. 16, the chain will debut its biggest shopping tote yet. Measuring 5.5 square feet (36 x 22 x 16 inches), it’s larger than a carry-on suitcase and about the size of an aquarium. The store explains that these new giant bags are a metaphor for savings because "bigger savings mean bigger hauls, and bigger hauls mean you need a bigger bag." It will also cut down on taking multiple trips when bringing your groceries into the house. You can sign up on the Aldi website to be notified when the bags become available. The bags will not be sold in stores. The retailer also recently launched the Aldi Quarter Club, where selected members received prizes, including one year's worth of free groceries in the form of a $1,700 Aldi gift card.
