From beaded evening gowns to oversized collegiate sweatshirts, the late Princess Diana was known for her head-turning fashion choices. Now, some of the items from her impressive collection are for sale.

Containing more than 200 garments and artifacts like signed birthday cards, the "Princess Diana's Style & A Royal Collection" sale will take place on June 26 at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. It will include the largest collection of her fashion—over 100 items—to ever be up for auction, Martin Nolan, executive director and co-founder of Julien's Auctions, told Reuters.

Among the items is a silk floral dress by Bellville Sassoon dubbed the "caring dress" because Princess Diana wore it several times on hospital visits. It's estimated to sell for $200,000 to $300,000. A cream silk embroidered evening gown that the Princess of Wales wore during her 1986 Gulf tour has a similar price tag, while a two-piece yellow floral ensemble she wore for the Royal Ascot race in 1987 has a potential selling price of $100,000 to $200,000.

Other pieces include a Dior handbag gifted to her by former French first lady Bernadette Chirac, a peach straw hat that she wore for her honeymoon send-off, Chanel and Rayner shoes, a nylon ski suit Princess Diana wore several times from 1985 to 1992, and a sketch of her 1981 wedding dress.

"This collection is not only the most comprehensive offering of her wardrobe ever presented, but also a tribute to her elegance, grace, glamour, and enduring spirit," Nolan said. "Each item is a window into a moment in history."

This won't be the first time Princess Diana's items have sold for big bucks. In 2023, a ballerina-length evening dress designed by Jacques Azagury was auctioned off for over $1.1 million, and the so-called "black sheep" sweater sold for $1.143 million at a Sotheby's auction.

The "Princess Diana's Style & A Royal Collection" auction will also feature items once worn by the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen Mother, and other royal family members, dating back to the 1800s. Part of the proceeds from the sale of Princess Diana’s items will go to Muscular Dystrophy UK.

A pre-sale public exhibition of the items is being held at The Museum of Style Icons in Newbridge, Ireland, until June 17.
