Fifteen years ago, Ashley Poskin wrote her first DIY article for the Design Sponge blog. Needing a coffee table but not finding one she liked, she transformed a vintage suitcase into a unique piece. She loved the creative process of turning a vintage find into home décor just as much as sharing the story through writing and photography. And just like that, her career was born. Since then, Ashley has written hundreds of articles on everything from updating outdated furniture to tried-and-true methods for removing red wine stains and everything in between.

Ashley earned a BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, GA.
