  • The product was sold at Target stores nationwide and online from December 2024 through January 2025.

If your morning isn't complete without a refreshing smoothie, you may want to check the make and model of your blender. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of about 199,000 blenders sold at Target.

The recall was initiated on April 3, 2025, and affects Vivitar Blender Bottles, which have a clear plastic middle and a white plastic base and top. The bottles have the following information printed on a sticker underneath the base: "Description: Blender Bottle," "ITEM: ES15-BB-TA" and "MID #5220824." The code "MID #5220824" is also stamped on the base of the bottle.

Per CPSC, the recalled blender bottles were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from December 2024 through January 2025 for about $5. The product is being recalled because "the blender's blades can continue to operate when the bottle is not attached to the blender, posing a laceration hazard," the announcement states.

If you have the product in your possession, CPSC says to immediately stop using it and to contact Sakar for instructions on how to receive a full refund for the blender. The recalled blender must be returned to Sakar to receive the refund, but proof of purchase is not required. Do not return the recalled product to Target.
