Martha joined the TODAY Show team to share her last-minute Easter decorating tips, including everything from DIY gilded eggs to a giant chocolate bunny. Martha shares that she will be hosting an Easter lunch this year inspired by her latest tome, decorvow'S GARDENING HANDBOOK: The Essential Guide to Designing, Planting, and Growing, featuring bouquets of fresh tulips from her garden, floral hand-painted eggs, and of course, a giant chocolate bunny gifted from her friend Jacques Torres.

Decorating Easter eggs is an annual tradition for Martha. This year, she shows how to paint wooden eggs and hot-glue a variety of decorative flowers and golden leaves on the eggs, which you can source from the craft store.

In addition to the beautifully crafted floral eggs, Martha shares how she makes moss-covered Easter eggs. She starts by brushing the wooden eggs with tacky glue and covering each egg in green moss. "These mossy eggs look so pretty and natural," Martha says in the segment. "You put them on the table as a centerpiece." You can find the green moss at the craft store or forage in nature for your own, Martha says.

Every Easter egg hunt needs a golden egg—or two. The final Easter decorating tip Martha shares is how to make a gilded wooden Easter egg. "The more golden eggs that the kids find, the happier they are," Martha says. "And then you give them a little chocolate bunny, or a big chocolate bunny for the biggest golden egg."

All you need is sizing glue, a small brush, gold foil, and a fan brush. Roll the wooden egg in the gold foil and lightly press it with your fingers to completely cover the egg in foil. To vernish the egg, use the fan brush to smooth the foil onto the egg. You can also use the gilded eggs around the house in your other Easter décor.
