Although it's the middle of winter, the legacy of brat summer lives on—and Martha is fully on board. During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Martha revealed that singer Charli XCX has officially deemed her "brat."

Martha appeared on The Tonight Show to tease her upcoming Uber Eats commercial, which she stars in alongside Charli XCX. "Did she say that you were brat?" Fallon asked. "Of course. That's why I was there. I am the brat," Martha replied.

The term "brat" grew in popularity last summer when Charli XCX released her sixth studio album, Brat, an up-beat dance pop album. The name of the album and its iconic lime green cover inspired various marketing campaigns, fashion trends, and TikTok dances, leading fans to coin the era "brat summer."

Despite the iconic trend, Martha revealed to Fallon that she didn't know who Charli XCX was until they filmed their Uber Eats commercial together. "I didn't really know who she was when I sat down next to her," Martha said.

Which is fitting, given the context of the commercial. During the ad, Martha and Charli XCX participate in the popular TikTok challenge, "We Listen and We Don't Judge." The trend involves participants confessing information about themselves without receiving judgement from the person they're telling.

Martha kicks the trend off saying, "Honestly, Charli, when my agent first sent me your name, I thought it was the wifi password." Charli follows up with, "Well, when my agent told me you were doing this, I thought you’d be doing the catering." Martha later asks the singer, "But seriously, who are you again?”

The full commercial is set to air on during Super Bowl LIX, which takes place on February 9, 2024.
