Just in time for summer, a new seasonal treat is hitting Costco food courts—the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae.

Currently available at select warehouse locations nationwide, the dessert is the latest addition to Costco's rotating lineup of specialty sundaes, reports Costco content creator Laura Jayne Lamb.

Other recent dessert additions have included the Double Chocolate Mint Sundae and the Caramel Churro Sundae, which were released earlier this year.

Priced at $2.99, the sundae features strawberry soft serve layered with strawberry sauce and sprinkled with soft shortcake pieces. Unlike its other strawberry sundae, which uses vanilla ice cream with a strawberry topping, Costco's newest version starts with strawberry soft serve for an extra burst of summertime flavor.

It's unclear how long the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae will be available on food court menus, but we suspect it will only be around for a limited time, similar to the other specialty sundaes. So when you're at the store stocking up on summer snacks, be sure to swing by the food court for the special treat.

And sorry, chocolate lovers, but while the strawberry dessert is on the menu, Costco's chocolate soft serve has been removed from the lineup.
