Thousands of Coffee Makers Recalled Due to Serious Burn Risk—See If Yours Is Affected

Before you brew your next cup of coffee, check your machine. Kidisle is recalling some of its coffee makers because they pose a burn hazard that could cause serious injuries, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The appliances can become clogged, causing hot liquid or steam to build up and be released unexpectedly during use.

The single-serve coffeemakers come in black, white, and gray; measure about 11 inches high and 6 inches wide; and have a 50-ounce detachable water tank. They can brew 6 to 14 ounces of coffee. Model “KC101B” is printed on a sticker on the underside of the appliance. The machines were sold on Amazon, Walmart.com, and eBay from June 2024 through April 2026 for about $49. Roughly 17,600 units are affected.

The CPSC is aware of at least 107 reports of the coffee makers releasing hot liquid or steam unexpectedly, resulting in at least 27 reported injuries, including first- and second-degree burns that required medical treatment.

If you own one of these coffee makers, stop using it immediately and contact Kidisle for a full refund. Destroy the coffee maker by unplugging it and cutting the power cord. To receive a refund, write “Recalled” in permanent marker on the machine and send a photo of the destroyed product, with both the model number and the cut power cord visible, to [email protected].
