More than 20,000 pounds beef products have been recalled by South American Meat Inc., also known as 5Gogi LLC, according to an announcement by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The products were recalled because they were not presented to FSIS for import reinspection upon entry into the U.S. The items were imported from Uruguay on or around March 17, 2024 and were shipped to distributors, restaurants, retailers, and institutions in Arizona, California, Oregon, and Washington.

Per FSIS, the frozen raw beef products subject to the recall bear the establishment number "58," which is printed inside the Uruguay inspection mark located on the shipping box and vacuum sealed product packaging.
