"Couples are leaning into more playful and creative uses of color—finding fresh ways to incorporate it beyond just florals," shares Lisa VanHorton, lead wedding planner and owner of Lisa VanHorton Weddings. "We're seeing color show up in bridesmaid attire, tabletop details, stationery, lounge setups, and even signature cocktails. I’m loving all the fresh, creative ways couples are weaving color into their wedding day!"

A Chinoiserie-Inspired Palette

Blue and white chinoiserie patterns have taken over everything in the wedding world, from stationery to centerpiece vases, according to VanHorton. Couples are full-on embracing the palette and finding unique ways to incorporate the classic, refined hues.

"While florals often remain a classic all-white, the blue tones are introduced through décor elements like linens, rentals, and stationery. This look pairs perfectly with the coastal grandmother-meets-maximalist aesthetic," says VanHorton, noting that the combo screams Nantucket summer wedding.

Soft Sunset Shades

Inspired by the warm tones of a setting sun, this palette is just so joyful, quite like your celebration itself. "Couples are embracing vibrant mixes of pinks, yellows, oranges, and often an unexpected accent like blue or purple," shares VanHorton.

Couples can bring in this playful palette through wildflower-inspired arrangements, or bridesmaids wearing dresses in a range of colors. "With this trend, linens and décor are often kept neutral and minimal, allowing the florals to take center stage and bring energy and personality to the overall design," she adds.

Bright Pink and Florida Orange

"Couples are leaning into funkier, high-energy palettes," shares professional wedding planner Charli Metayer, who points to the deep pinks and bold oranges popping up at nuptials. Together, the combo will infuse your celebration with a cheerful energy. "We’re here for the playful, feel-good vibe."

Just as bold as this palette is how couples are incorporating it. Think printed linens, statement stationery, and unexpected textile moments, according to Metayer. "It’s such a fun, stylish way to tell their story through design."

Sage and Agave

"Greens are having a major moment in the wedding world," shares VanHorton. "Sage and agave greens continue to be popular go-tos for their soft, elegant feel." Earthy, ethereal, the shades can be thoughtfully layered in gauzy table linens or varied throughout your bridal party's outfits.

Metayer adds that deep emerald greens are also enjoying a major moment, especially for cooler-weathered weddings and when paired with rich velvet textiles. Work with your florist to include a ton of greenery in your blooms to match your chosen palette.

Bright Green and Cream

Another fresh spin on all green VanHorton has been seeing as of late? Unexpected pops of lime green. "This lively twist is achieved with unique florals like green amaranthus, cymbidium orchids, and vibrant green hydrangeas. It’s unexpected, fresh, and makes the entire design feel elevated and modern."
