Making pasta from scratch really is that easy—so easy that one woman prepared fresh pasta on her American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to San Diego.

In September, Katie Brooks posted a video on her Instagram account, @buonapastaclub, of her making pasta mid-flight. The video shows Brooks mixing the water and flour to form the dough, kneading it, and cutting it into small pieces as on-screen text reads: "POV: You hate airplane food, so you make it yourself."

Brooks then uses a ridged gnocchi board to roll each piece of dough and shape the pasta. She captioned the Instagram post: "Just trying to show that pasta making is so easy you can do it on an airplane!"

A pasta enthusiast and owner of Buona Pasta Club, Brooks started a popular video series called "Pasta in the Wild," where she demonstrates how easy it is to make pasta from anywhere. The series began with her making pasta while camping and has since gone viral.

Her most recent video received mixed reviews from viewers. Hundreds of Instagram users flooded the comments to share their thoughts, with some finding Brooks' video entertaining, while others expressed concern about wheat allergens and questioned how she got her ingredients through security.

"I officially have no excuses for not making my own pasta. This is insane," one person wrote. Another wrote: "How did you get any of that through TSA?"
