The affected products are Goodles Vegan Is Believin’ Plant-Based White Cheddar with Spirals and Goodles Here Comes Truffle Creamy Truffle Flavored Cheddar and Shells. Vegan Is Believin' may contain milk, while Here Comes Truffle may contain cashew, neither of which is listed on the labels, which triggered the recall. The products were produced between April 7 and April 15 and distributed nationwide to wholesale distributors, operators, and online between April 29 and August 5. There have been six reported allergic reactions in connection with Here Comes Truffle and two reported allergic reactions in connection with Vegan is Believin’ so far, according to the agency. Symptoms of a tree nut allergy include abdominal pain, cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty swallowing, itching, nasal congestion or a runny nose, and shortness of breath, according to the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). Within a short period of time after consuming milk, people with an allergy may experience symptoms such as hives, upset stomach, vomiting, bloody stools, and, in some cases, anaphylaxis, per the ACAAI. If you purchased the recalled products, don't consume them if you or anyone in your household has an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk or cashew. Instead, return the products to the place of purchase for a refund.
