"Lantana's flower colors come in a spectrum, oftentimes oranges, yellows, reds, purples, pinks are common," says Abdi, adding that some flowers even form blooms with multiple colors.

"It has substantial size and puts on an unforgettable show when almost nothing else is in flower," says Pavlich. "The flowers emerge in March, held on mahogany-red stems." The candy-pink blooms are clustered at the top of the stems for a showy display. This low-maintenance flower attracts early spring pollinators, like Mason bees and hummingbirds.
