Food & Cooking Recipes Dessert & Treats Recipes Easy Any-Juice Ice Pops Close Credit: Con Poulos Prep Time: 10 mins Total Time: 40 mins Yield: 8 Use just about any fruit -- we like watermelon, grapefruit, kiwi, or pomegranate -- to make these simple, refreshing treats. Directions In a small saucepan, bring sugar and 1/3 cup water to a boil over high, stirring until sugar dissolves. Transfer to a 4-cup liquid measuring cup or medium bowl and refrigerate until cool, 30 minutes. Stir in juice. Pour mixture into eight 3-ounce ice-pop molds. Insert ice-pop sticks and freeze until solid, 6 hours (or up to 2 weeks). Cook's Notes To make your own fruit purees, peel and pit fruit, then blend until smooth. For completely smooth pops, pour the puree through a fine-mesh sieve. A little citrus pulp or kiwi seeds in the finished pop adds texture.
