During a recent trip to Goodwill, a Chicago-based woman scored big after stumbling upon a Vera Wang gown on sale for $18.99. After purchasing the drop-waist strapless dress, she realized it was worn by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City.

Ashley Cano shared the discovery on TikTok saying, "I cannot believe that I found this dress at Goodwill for $18.99. It is Vera Wang. It is the Carrie Bradshaw dress. I’m shook.” In the movie, Bradshaw wears the dress for a photo shoot with Vogue before her wedding to Mr. Big. "I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this dress," Cano wrote in the caption.

The video received almost 60 thousand views and hundreds of comments. Many users were just as shocked as Cano at her discovery. One person commented, "The way this is my size and I am getting married in 2 months and this is my dream dress." Another said, "That is amazing! Such a wonderful find!!"

In the caption, Cano says that she plans to re-sell the wedding dress, which garnered the attention of many 2025 brides. "My wedding is in August I need this please," one person commented. Someone else said, "I just got engaged and this is exactly what I'm looking for and my size." One person said that she "needs" this dress for her daughter.

A few days after sharing her find on TikTok, Cano uploaded another video saying that she has received "an insane amount of inquiries" from brides wanting to buy the dress. "I'm working on finding the best way to handle everyone's inquiries and still have safety around meeting up for try-ons."
